Product description
The Agilent or HP 8924C is a test set originally designed for CDMA phone testing. In addition to its powerful CDMA test capabilities, the HP 8924C retains full analog cellular test capability. Derived from the HP 8920B RF communications test set, the HP 8924C is HP-IB mnemonic compatible with the HP 8920B. The HP 8924C in its analog mode operates identical to the HP 8920B. The only differences between the two units are some default parameters required for the CDMA mode of operation. Optional features on the HP 8920B that are standard equipment for the HP 8924C include: a high stability timebase (with improved performance), signaling, CCITT filter, 6 kHz bandpass filter, and spectrum analyzer/tracking generator. These analog features not only allow the HP 8924 to test the analog portion of dual-mode ratios, but also provides an effective suite of measurement tools for radio troubleshooting.
